Over the last month I’ve been part of the JUNOS London Host City Tour as a live sound engineer and event organizer. With various London artists on the bill to perform, we’ve been touring across Southern Ontario to spread the word about the JUNOS coming to London! Bringing London’s JUNO Award for 2019’s Host City along on tour, we’ve been putting on shows, presentations, and panel discussions at schools and other venues.
Some of the featured artists so far have included Cameron Jericho, Taylor Holden from the band Averages, and Richard Gracious of Mountain of Wolves. Our featured artist this coming Monday is London singer-songwriter Chad Price.
This past weekend we travelled with Julia Haggarty and Casper Marcus to Mississauga for a few days, where they performed at the first Host City Music Exchange event for JUNOS London. The evening featured a talk by London Music Office about developing a thriving music hub in a secondary market, followed by panels with music industry executives, networking opportunities, and unforgettable performances by two of Mississauga’s upcoming groups, along with our incredible London artists! Some upcoming dates for the JUNOS London Host City Music Exchange include Kitchener on February 21, and Windsor on February 28!
It’s been a great time spreading the word about JUNOS London coming up on March 17, with the events of JUNOfest in the days leading up to the big night! We are looking forward to the rest of the tour.
